Welcome to Fort Rock Cabin, a brand new refuge purposefully built to be the base camp for your next mountain adventure. Whilst only a short 5-minute walk from the hustle and bustle of Blackheath's village centre and train station, the cabin has world-renowned clifftop bushwalks and escarpment at your doorstep.
Equally appropriate for a quick weekend in the mountains or a longer stay, the cabin has been constructed to the highest standard including double glazing to keep you comfortable all year round. Unwind in front of the wood fire and showcase your culinary talents in the fully equipped chef's kitchen complete with black granite benches, coffee machine and euro appliances. The property also features split system airconditioning, ceiling fans, flyscreens and a full laundry.
There are two bedrooms, the master featuring a king bed with luxurious bedding, high raked ceilings and bespoke glazing showcasing the greenery beyond. A second bedroom contains bunk beds that the kids will love.
For the more vertically inclined, the cabin sits right at the trailhead to Centennial Glen, Wave Wall, Shipley and Porter's Pass rock climbing areas. Bushwalkers will appreciate these stunning trails too, with everything from a short stroll down to the bubbling cascades 5 mins walk below the cabin, to several hour missions through Centennial Canyon and Porter's Pass.
We love our little home in the hills and are sure that you will too.
Blackheath is a delightful mountain village high (over 100 metres above sea level) in the Blue Mountains about 120 kms west of Sydney. It retains the feel of classic Blue Mountains with laid back atmosphere, quaint shops, galleries and plenty of cafes and eating houses.
It has a vibrant artistic community, surrounded by National Parks and is a world-renowned rock-climbing and canyoning area with a multitude of lookouts and walking tracks that can take anything from a few minutes to a few days.
Widely regarded as one of the most impressive walking tracks in the Blue Mountains, the Grand Canyon Walk will leave you in awe, as you hike through lush rainforest with several creek crossings, small waterfalls, high cliff walls and rock overhangs to take in. Check out the glowworms after dusk.
Fort Rock Lookout is a 10 minute walk- don’t miss the sunsets!
